Articles on: Takedowns Explained

Which search engines are you able to send takedown notices to?

Yes. Rulta can request the removal of Google search results linking to your leaked photos and videos. This includes results in Google’s All, Images, and Videos tabs, different URLs containing your content, and outdated results. Removal usually takes 4 to 48 hours after we submit the report.

Which Google results can Rulta remove?

We can help report:

  • Google Search results: Webpages linking to your leaked content in the All tab.
  • Google Images: Image results displaying your leaked photos.
  • Google Videos: Video results linking to unauthorized copies of your videos.
  • URL variations: Different links or versions of pages containing your content. Each URL may need a separate report.
  • Outdated results: Search results or previews that still display content after the original page has been removed or changed.

Does Google removal delete the content from the website?

No. Google removal, also called delisting, removes the reported search result. It does not delete the original photo, video or webpage from the website hosting it.
Removing content from the source requires a separate removal request. Rulta can also pursue website removal where available.

How long does Google removal take?

Google removals usually take 4 to 48 hours after report submission. Some requests may take longer if Google needs additional information or further review.
This timeframe is an estimate; it might take longer depending on the situation.

Can the content appear on Google again?

Yes. A website may reupload your content under a new URL, which can appear in Google even after the previous link was delisted.
Removing one URL does not automatically remove every copy or prevent future uploads. New links may require separate reports.

Which plans include Google removal?

Google search removal is automated and unlimited for all plans, included in:

  • Pro
  • Premier
  • Legend

Submit the direct URL of the page hosting your leaked content through your Rulta dashboard, with one link per request. Avoid sending Google search results pages or redirect links.

We can also deindex content from Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo results; however it's not as fast or as guaranteed as Google delistings.
