If a DMCA counter notice has been filed, does that mean Google can no longer remove the leaked content from its search results?

A counter DMCA notice does not automatically prevent future removal. Under Section 512 of the DMCA, if the copyright owner files a legal action seeking to restrain the infringing activity and the service provider receives appropriate notice of that action within the statutory timeframe, the content may remain disabled or be removed in accordance with the DMCA process.

If litigation is not pursued, we may continue to evaluate other available enforcement options where appropriate. However, the final decision always rests with the relevant service provider, and removal cannot be guaranteed.
