My dashboard says "Non-compliant with DMCA," but the site has a DMCA page. Why couldn't you take it down?

We send takedown notices to websites and their hosting providers under DMCA law. A site can have a DMCA page and still ignore what comes in, and some countries don't enforce these notices at all. Sites hosted in places like Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, and China are the ones we run into most often.

If you want it gone from the site itself, that usually means hiring a lawyer and pursuing it legally. It's expensive with no guaranteed outcome, so it's worth weighing carefully, though it can discourage repeat leaks.
