# Why wasn’t my link removed from that website? What can I do now?

We operate under **DMCA laws** and send takedown notices to websites and their hosting providers about copyright infringements. However, not all countries comply with DMCA laws. 

> Unfortunately, some countries like Bulgaria, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, Singapore, and China often ignore DMCA notices and don’t respond to these claims.

If you still want the content removed from the website itself, you might need to **hire a lawyer** and consider filing a lawsuit against the site.  While this can be costly and there’s no guarantee of success, it might help prevent further leaks in the future.
